Dense breast tissue in younger women makes it more difficult to detect breast cancer, and that's why mammogram reports are now federally-mandated to include that information. Mary Beth Gibson's mother and grandmother were both diagnosed young, and she was too, but not before briefly thinking she wouldn't be.
