A false bomb threat was reported at the Statesville Recreation Center Friday afternoon. According to the Statesville Police Department, at approximately 3:41 p.m. Oct. 16, officers responded to the city-run facility, at 1875 Simonton Road, following a phoned-in bomb threat.
