NEW YORK (PIX11) — The warm temperatures, humidity and an approaching strong cold front are bringing the threat of dangerous storms to the tri-state region. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for New York City and most of the surrounding area through 10 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
