Los Angeles man gets nearly 6 years in prison for COVID-19 relief fraud

A North Hollywood man was sentenced to nearly six years in prison Friday for his part in a scheme to defraud federal COVID-19 relief and small-business-lending programs out of nearly $5 million. Sarkis Sarkisyan, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud and one count of transactional money laundering on April 29.
