NEWTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Statesville man will spend up to eight years in prison for an armed robbery at a Hickory dollar store earlier this year. According to the Catawba County district attorney’s office, 24-year-old Joshua Hunter Wingate was sentenced to six to eight years after pleading guilty Wednesday.
